Profile

Parent Organization: University of New Hampshire

The Alliance is the LBGTQIA support community here on campus at UNH. Our meetings are normally on Tuesdays at 7:30 in room 145 of the MUB.

One of the goals of the Alliance is to foster a safe environment for students where they can express themselves however they please without being judged or ridiculed for their sexual orientation or gender expression.

The Alliance is also committed to making a safe environment not only for students within the organization but around Durham as well. We strive to create a community without of prejudice. Students should be able to feel comfortable expressing their identity everywhere, from classrooms to dorms. It is the belief of the Alliance that students should not have to live in an environment where they feel alienated from fellow students.

Lastly, the Alliance is a support network of friends, people whom you come to know, trust, and respect week after week. Whether you’re looking for advice on how to come out to the people around you or just looking to make some friends, the Alliance is there for you. Our events are oriented not only toward bettering the community, but also toward just unwinding and having fun.
